I often do get the comment that muscles are used that my students didn’t know existed before. That is completely true, you will be using muscles you didn’t even know you had. But that can only be a good thing because in this way you become more aware of your body. When you learn to consciously relax the muscles you feel stretching during stretching, you can also feel and control them better. After a while, you become aware of just about every little muscle in your body and manage to control and relax them. Learning to relax can also help you during childbirth.
